Log Structure Consulting Since 1987, we have been the regional source for handcrafted, whole-log chink-style home construction. We encourage you to explore this building system, and wish to thank our family of satisfied log-home customers. However, as of January of 2017, we are announcing a down-sizing of our company, eliminating further home construction projects. The main reason for this transition is to concentrate on our growing number of other handcrafted log products and services. With a degree in Forestry and Wood Technology, and over 35 years experience building and maintaining log structures, you are assured that we will give you solid information that will help make the right choices for you. Inspections We have seen many people make terrible choices before requesting an inspection that lays bare the mistakes made by past builders and home owners. If you are considering purchasing any log structure, be aware a full log-related inspection may cost a few hundred dollars (which are actually refunded with any future purchase!), but save tens-of-thousands of dollars of future repairs or prevent a nightmare purchase. We can also generate comprehensive reports that outline every good feature of the structure, and potential risk areas and problems, and from this create a maintenance program with associated costs and recommended products.
